Ralph Charles Dunn

The death occurred peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island of Ralph Charles Dunn.

Ralph was born on November 18, 1943 in Elmsdale, PEI.

He is survived by his loving wife Phyllis (Gallant) Dunn and their two sons Brian Dunn (Mariette) of Smith Falls, Ont. and Derek Dunn (Kellie Connors), Arnprior, Ont.; grandchildren, Andrew Dunn, Christine (Justin) Richard, Kellina Dunn (Scott Easterbrook), Brendan Dunn, Cohen Dunn and Samuel Dunn ; his brother, Fr. Eric Dunn; his sister Marina Dunn (John); his sisters-in-law Norma Schurman (Marc LeClair), Marcia (Patrick) Bulger, Paula (Michael) Welton, Jean (Sinclair) Walker and brother-in-law Gerald (Nancy) Gallant. He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Marjorie Dunn and father and mother-in-law Clarence and Marie Gallant.

Ralph loved his family and extended family in Elmsdale, PEI. He enjoyed his work for Sears in Ontario and Moncton, as well as his work at Sherwood Sportsplex and Hambly’s Home Furnishing. He especially enjoyed volunteering at Holy Redeemer Parish where he was past Chair of Parish Council and Past Grand Knight of the Holy Redeemer Knights of Columbus. He was also Past State Deputy and Vice Supreme Master of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus of Prince Edward Island.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Palliative Care for their love and support, as well as the Kinlock Medical Team, and the many friends who supported Ralph during his illness.


Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home for visiting hours on Thursday, April 25th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The funeral will be held on Friday, April 26th with Funeral Mass from The Church of the Most Holy Redeemer at 2:00 p.m. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. The Knights of Columbus will hold a prayer service on Thursday at the funeral home at 3:30 p.m. All Knights are urged to attend.
