Anthony "Arthur" Burke

Anthony "Arthur" Burke passed away peacefully Friday, April 19th at the Garden Home, age 85. 

Survived by his wife Beverley (MacPherson), daughters Suzanna Harris (Tim) & Pamela Burke (Bill), Grandchildren Kieran, Rowan (Marina) & Liam Scott, sister Shirley Doyle (Rae - deceased), brothers in law David MacPherson (Roberta) & Barry MacPherson (Audrey), sister in law Bernadette Milligan, and many nieces and nephews. 

Predeceased by his parents Anthony Burke & Julia "Lillie" Gallant, his siblings Mary Ryan (Jeremiah), Clarence (Eileen), Lorne (Beryl), Frank, & John Wendell "Cy" Burke. Niece Alicia and nephew Chris.

Art was retired from the Department of highways, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and had a stellar curling career spanning 35 years with two provincial School Boy titles, five PEI Tankard Championship titles, and one PEI Senior Legion Championship title. He was inducted into the PEI Curling Hall of Fame in 2009.
