Wendell Herbert Cannon

Peacefully at home, with his family at his side, on April 11, 2024, the death of Wendell Herbert Cannon of Union Corner occurred at age 83. Wendell was the loving husband of Betty for 65 years and father to Wendy, Kim, David, and Billy.

Predeceased by his parents, Milton and Clair Cannon, and brothers and sisters Joe, Vivian, Hilma, Pat, Dot, Beth and Phyllis. Survived by his brother and sisters Charles, Adera and Debbie.

Known as Da, Grampy, and Bo to his 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, Wendell loved taking the kids for a dip in the summer and hopping ice cakes in the winter. They will remember him with smiles and laughs as they wade into the cold water of the spring and fall and enjoy the beach in the summer.

Resting at the Hennessey-Cutcliffe Funeral Home. Funeral service Friday, April 19 at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to your local food bank. Wendell’s family would like to thank the homecare staff for their support and kindness through his final days.
