Marion Jean Teresa Smith

Peacefully on November 17, Marion Jean Teresa Smith passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Born in Tracadie, PE on May 31, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Tommy and Mabel (nee Watts) Smith. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Lindsey Smith (Nick Wilson), cherished granddaughters Adalyn & Ava Wilson, siblings Noreen Lisi (Joe), Bernie Lamphier (Danny), Kevin (Darla), sister-in-law Brenda Smith, nieces and nephews, cousins, and close friends. She is predeceased by her brothers Michael and Joseph Smith.

Marion was a graduate of the PEI School of Nursing class of 1976. She worked as a dedicated nurse for over 40 years. She had many fond memories of time spent with her former co-workers and students. Marion enjoyed spending time in the kitchen as she loved sharing her home cooked meals with others. In her later years her fondest memories were spent with family, close friends, and companions at Andrews of Charlottetown. She will be fondly missed by all.

Resting at Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home, where a memorial gathering will be held on Monday, November 20 from 4-7 pm.

Her Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bonaventure’s Church, Tracadie Cross on Tuesday, November 21 at 11 am with interment to follow in the parish cemetery.

Memorial donations in memory of Marion may be made to the Upper Room Hospitality Ministry or St. Bonaventure’s Parish Cemetery Fund.
