Mary Catherine "Kate" Sark

It is with heavy hearts the family of Mary Catherine Sark (Kate, M.C) announces her sudden passing which occurred on Saturday, May 27th, 2023, at her home. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts on November 17th, 1964, she was the daughter of Jim Sark, Mary Ann Sark (Lafford) and Carolyn Sark. She was predeceased by her infant son Derek. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving children; Kara Pictou, Nikki Pictou and Cheyenne Kedy and grandchildren; Kingston, Amerah and Lailah. Fondly remembered by Robert Pictou and Art Kedy. Brothers and Sisters, James Sark (Tracey), Danny Sark (Paula), Roger Sark (Deanna), Benny Sark (Kendra), Merina Sark, Jenene Wooldridge (Cale), Jared Sark (Martha). Numerous aunts and uncles and many nephews and nieces who will miss her immensely, Daniel, Courtney, Janine, Greg (deceased), Jake, Kamryn, Michael, Tyler, Jillian, Christopher, Dameon, Cydney, Taite, Taya, Daniel, Rez, Lennon, Maverick, and Tyla. Godchildren, Natasha, Christopher, and Sarah.

Mary Catherine was an accomplished Mi’kmaw artisan who was immensely proud of her grandchildren and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories and will be remembered for her infectious laugh.

The wake will be held at the Hennessey-Cutcliffe-Charlottetown Funeral Home, PEI on June 2nd with visiting hours from 6:00-9:00 PM, followed by a sunrise ceremony Saturday morning June 3rd and visitation Saturday 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
