Wayne Farish

Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, May 25, 2023 of Stewart "Wayne" Farish formerly of Springvale. Born April 14, 1949 as the only child of the late Daniel and Ann (Harper) Farish. Wayne attended Springvale School and then Charlottetown Rural before working with his father at Farish Meats at their home place. Wayne would always take time to catch up with all of his neighbors and customers, when they would come for their weekly supply of meat. Like his father before him Wayne had a passion for race horses and was often seen at the CDP.

Wayne had a passion for writing his own poetry. One of Wayne’s own poems, named "An Old Time Morning", was published in the National Library of Poetry, in the publication named, A Moment in Time, 1935, Editor Caroline Sullivan.

Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 31st from Spring Park United Church at 11:00 a.m with interment to follow in the Princetown Rd. United Cemetery. Visiting hours will take place from 10:00 am until time of funeral.
