The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, December 1, 2022 of Mitchell McCarthy of Covehead, age 69 years. Beloved husband of Debbie McCarthy (nee Doucette) and dear father of Tanya McCarthy, Jason (Katie) McCarthy, Penny (Michael) Egan, Krista (Jason) Griffin and Donnie (Sherry) McKinnon; grandfather of Lucy, Sam and Sully, Patrick, Connor and Kyla, Austin and Katie and Dana (Darien); brother of twin Michael (Donna) McCarthy, Kevin (dec.), Sue (Barry) Davison, Tim (Annette) McCarthy; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Garnet and Annie (nee Brownell) McCarthy of Nova Scotia.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, December 6th then transferred to St. Francis of Assisi Church, Cornwall for Funeral Mass at 2 p.m. Interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
Visiting hours on Monday from 4 - 7 p.m.
