Sister Mary Cecelia DeCourcey (Sister Maria Cordis)

Peacefully at the Mount Continuing Care Community on Thursday, October 14, 2021, of Sister Mary Cecelia DeCourcey (Sister Maria Cordis) of Charlottetown, aged 89 years. Fondly remembered by her Martha Sisters , her sisters Leona McDearmid and Margaret O’Brien from Charlottetown, her brother Emmett DeCourcey from Midgell and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Leo and Elmira, her sister Teresa Gallant and her brothers, Kenneth, Earl, Cletus and Theophane.

Resting at the Mount Continuing Care Chapel. Due to Covid restrictions a private visitation and Funeral Mass for her Martha Sisters and family will be held in the Chapel. Interment in the Sisters of St. Martha Cemetery.

Special appreciation to Drs. Lecours, Baker and the team from the Integrated Palliative Care Program and to the Mount Continuing Care staff who cared for Sister Mary in these last weeks of her final journey.
