Nina Mae MacEachern
1926-2021
Peacefully at the Andrew’s of Charlottetown on Thursday, September 9, 2021 of Nina Mae (nee Younker) MacEachern of Charlottetown, age 95 years. Beloved wife of the late Roland E. MacEachern and dear mother of Mike MacEachern. She is also survived by her grandson Sean (Claudia) Stranks; her great grandchildren Anais, Cayla and Indiana and her loving niece, Sereita Newman.
She was predeceased by her parents Harry and Lena (nee Sentner) Younker; sister, Eileen (Omer) Neill and her niece Sally Mae MacNeill.
Nina Mae was a longtime employee of the Halifax Herald and for many years , a volunteer with the Red Cross Corps of Halifax at Pier 21. She also was with the teams sent to Springhill during the mine disasters of 1956 and 1958.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home.
Due to current restrictions, a private Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter’s Cathedral (by invitation only). Interment to follow in the Sherwood Cemetery.
If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Cathedral.
