It is with great sadness, I announce the death of my beautiful daughter, Amy Nicole Watts Coady, at the young age of 27. Amy was born May 25, 1994, at the QEH, located in Charlottetown, PEI. Amy is predeceased by her loving grandparents, Clarence and Cecilia Coady; Grandmother, Anne Watts. Beautiful daughter of Janice Coady (John Hvidberg); stepbrother, Marcus Hvidberg; Loving niece to Jerry (Aletha); Anne (Scott Currie); Karen (Mike Gaudet); Ian (Ann); Lowell (Nancy, Godparents); Al (Katherine). Remembered with love by her cousins; Taylor, Keira and Niko Coady; Brooke, Colby and Conor Currie; Cody and Rory Gaudet; and Liam and Dylan Coady; Father: Chris Watts; Brother: Jeffrey Watts.
Amy had a zest for life; she was a fun-loving, caring and compassionate soul. Always outgoing, Amy loved spending time with family and having her friends close, there were many sleepover nights over the years. She was an avid reader and writer, who journalled daily and loved to write poems. Amy was very artistic and loved to draw and was a beautiful singer, loving all genres of music. She grew up in Riverdale, PEI, next door to her grandparents, where she cherished her moments with Granny and Grampy. Amy’s passion in life was to help others and provide support where needed, she was a Dean’s list graduate of the Mental Health Worker Program from Vancouver Island University. Upon graduation, Amy worked with Nanaimo Youth Services and Good Samaritan House where she provided outreach support to individuals living with mental health, addictions and homelessness. In her young age, Amy was still able to reach and help so many people. I want to thank all of you for sharing your beautiful stories and memories of Amy with me. I know she is watching over us all with love and her beautiful smile, wanting us to all know, she’s with us. Amy’s friendship, cherished by many, will be missed but never forgotten.
I say good bye to you, my dearest Amy, you were everything to me and I will miss you every day. You were the sun shine in my day, the light in my eye and the love of my life! You are now resting in peace in the arms of your Grampy and Granny, holding you tight and keeping you safe. Until we meet again, My Beautiful Girl, Always and Forever, Love Mom.
