David Merlin MacDonald

Peacefully with his family by his side after a short battle with cancer at his home in Peakes Station on Saturday, July 18, 2015 of David Merlin MacDonald

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Gail (nee A’Hearn), his children, Kayla MacDonald, Ft. Augustus, Ashley MacDonald, Charlottetown, Daniel MacDonald (Chelsey Flanagan) Pisquid and Luke MacDonald, Peakes Station. Proud Poppy of Sawyer, Maverick, Josie and Talon MacDonald. Brother of Ronald MacDonald, Dedham USA, Mary MacDonald, Charlottetown, Linda (Cletus) Dunn, Alberton, Donalda (Bob) Bertling, Delhi, Ont., Heather (David deceased) Voutour, Parker (Brenda Lee), Peakes, Wanda (John) MacDougall and Roberta "Bobby" MacDonald of Charlottetown. Brother-in-law of Gary (Shirley) A’Hearn, Edmonton, Emmett (Shery) A’Hearn, Halifax, Paula (Rodd) Matheson, Oleary, Jimmy (Ida) A’Hearn, Summerside, Nancy (Roy) Costain, Tignish, Sally (Tom) Costain, Summerside and John (Gail) A’Hearn, Tignish. Son of the late Earl and Eileen MacDonald and son-in-law of Laura A’Hearn Kilbride, the late Emmett A’Hearn and the late Kevin Kilbride. He was also predeceased by his brother Justin and sister-in-law Holly A’Hearn.

Transferred from the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home to St. Cuthbert’s Church, St. Teresa for visiting hours on Tuesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral will be held on Wednesday with funeral mass from St. Cuthbert’s Church at 10:00 a.m Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the MacDonald Peakes Ball Field or the Canadian Cancer Society.
