Elsie Mary Travers (nee Shand)

Peacefully at the P.E.I. Atlantic Baptist Home on Saturday, May 16, 2015 of Elsie Mary Travers of Charlottetown in her 95^th year.

Elsie was a veteran of the World War II having served with the Royal Canadian Air Force.

Beloved wife of the late Grant Travers and dear mother of Jack Travers And Sally (Paul) Shanahan. Loving Grammy to Sara Shanahan (Mitchell Matheson). Along with her husband Grant, Elsie was also predeceased by her parents Bill and Sarah Shand and her brother Jack Shand.

Elsie’s family would like to thank the staff of Andrews of Stratford, P.E.I. Atlantic Baptist Home, Dr. Brodie Lantz and Dr. Tim Stoltz . Their care was second to none.

Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Charlottetown Branch#1 will hold a Veterans Tribute Service at the funeral home on Tuesday at 4:45 p.m.
