Gregorio "Greg" Antonio Silvaggio

It is with enormous sadness that we announce the passing of Gregorio "Greg" Antonio Silvaggio at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre, Charlottetown on Thursday, April 16, 2015.

Greg was born in Catanzaro, Maierato, Italy in 1946 and as a young boy came by passenger ship to Canada with his family. Greg grew up and was educated in Toronto, Ontario. He lived and worked most of his life in Charlottetown before retiring to North Rustico.

He is predeceased by his parents Giuseppe and Concetta (Toomeo) Silvaggio.

Greg will be forever loved and missed by his wife Jacqueline (McKeeman) Silvaggio; son Chris, daughter-in-law Carolyn, grandsons Aidan, Nate and Simon Silvaggio; daughter Lori Cummings, son-in-law Jeff Cummings, granddaughter Ava Mary Cummings of Charlottetown; stepson Jason Backman, B.C. and stepdaughter Danielle Backman of B.C. Greg will be a huge loss to his beloved mother-in-law Teresa McKeeman, Genevea Villa, Charlottetown and so missed by his brothers-in-law who enjoyed every minute they spent with Greg, Karl MacKeeman, Charlottetown; Gary McKeeman (Margaret) Halifax; Daniel MacKeeman (Kerrie), Australia and their families. Also left to mourn Greg is his very special mother-in-law Georgie Ward Rodd, Charlottetown. Survived also by his brothers Joseph Silvaggio, Alberta, Tony Silvaggio, Alberta, Noz Silvaggio, B.C., and his sister Maria Perdue, B.C. and their families

Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home where the memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date.

Donations in memory of Greg may be made to the Provincial Palliative Care Centre, Charlottetown.
