Ernest V. "Ernie" Bernard
1942-2014
The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, December 15, 2014 of Ernest V. "Ernie" Bernard of Scotchfort, age 72 years.
Beloved husband of the late Patricia Bernard (nee Hersey) "the love of his life".
He is survived by his children and step-children, Shirley Bernard, Roger Bernard, Robert Bernard, Mary Ellen Knockwood (Joe), Kasi Bernard (Logan Soloman), Alex Julian (Selena) and Kathleen Dunham (Steve), brothers and sister, John James Bernard (Kathy), Frank Bernard (Joan) and Rita Evans, 17 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Friday afternoon, then transferred to St. Bonaventure Church, Tracadie for funeral mass at 2 p.m.
Interment to follow in the family plot at St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery, Green Meadows.
If so desired memorial contributions in Ernie’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Visiting hours at the funeral home on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.
