Raymond "Bud" Wakelin

Peacefully with his family at his side at Whisperwood Villa on Monday, April 21, 2014 of Mr. Raymond "Bud" Wakelin of East Royalty , Veteran of the Korean War, in his 84^th year.

Beloved husband of Matilda (nee Stewart) and dear father of Peggy (Paul) Lavigueur and Robert (Laura Lee) Wakelin. Loving Grampy of April Laviguer, Jennifer and Ryan Wakelin. Brother-in-law of Cecil and Stella Stewart, Johnny Matheson and Stella Wakelin. Bud is also fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family being predeceased by his parents, Braymond and Eva Wakelin, brother Harry Wakelin and sisters Ruby Jay, Elsie Matheson and Joyce Maye.

Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in the People’s Cemetery,Charlottetown. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Charlottetown Branch #1 of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a Veteran’s Tribute Service at the funeral home on Wednesday at 4:45 p.m.
