Mary Ellen Godkin

The death occurred at the Atlantic Baptist Home on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 of Mrs. Mary Ellen Godkin of Charlottetown, age 91 years.

Beloved wife of the late Albert Godkin, and dear mother of Mabel Godkin, Margaret (Michael) Callaghan, Cynthia Dunsford, Patricia (Edwin) Sanderson, Janice (Garry) Sherren and David (Martha) Godkin.

She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Michael Callaghan (Allison), Lynn MacPhee (Chris), William Dunsford (Rolanda), Jamie Sanderson, Jennifer Sherren (Brad Cook), Neil Sherren, Sarah Godkin, Jeremy Godkin, and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents William and Irene MacDonald, brothers Gordon MacDonald, Wilfred “Scottie” MacDonald, Stan McNair, sisters Jessie Howard, Faith Godkin, and son-in-law William Dunsford.

Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow in the family plot at the Peoples Cemetery.

Visiting hours at the funeral home Thursday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Parkinson Society.
