Mary A. McKenna

At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, peacefully and with family by her side, the death occurred of Mary A. McKenna on Thursday, May 21, 2020.

She leaves to mourn her dear sister Ada Peters (Reg), her sister-in-law Mary McKenna, her beloved nieces and nephews, Karen Burke (Will), Janice Gillis (Edwin), Kevin McKenna (Emily), Mary Peters (Stuart MacWilliams), Gerard Peters (Rhea King), John Peters (Angela), fifteen cherished grand nieces and nephews, among them her Godson Christian MacWilliams. She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Frances McKenna, her mother Gertrude (Callaghan) McKenna, her infant sister, and her brother Louis McKenna.

She is resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home. Due to current restrictions at this time there will be a family viewing and a graveside service in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. The celebration of her memorial funeral mass will take place at a later date at St. Pius X Church. If so desired memorial donations may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of PEI (www.heartandstroke.ca) or the Canadian Cancer Society PEI (www.cancer.ca).
