Ian Alexander Woodhouse

 

Fighting to his last breath, Ian passed away after a long battle with cancer in the early evening of Sunday April 5th, 2020 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, with his cherished wife by his side. He was 69 Years old.

Ian is lovingly remembered by his wife Marie (nee Praught); his son Ryan Greeley; daughter-in-law Jenna; granddaughter Harper; sister Margie Carfra; nephew Robbie (Jennifer); grandnephew Liam; the extended members of the Praught family; and his close friends.

Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Ian is predeceased by his mother Wilma (nee MacDougall) and father Alexander Woodhouse.

Ian moved from Moncton to Prince Edward Island in 1972 and called the Island his home. Ian had a brief time where he lived in Lunenburg where he worked as a ship builder. Ian loved working with his hands and excelled at renovating older homes, woodworking, cabinet and furniture making. Ian’s day to day, you could see him downtown enjoying a coffee, local brews and supporting Island musicians.

The Woodhouse and Greeley family would like to thank all of the health care staff from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre, and the PEI Cancer Treatment Centre. Ian was always so grateful for the care and support that he was given by everyone who was involved in his care in anyway.
