William Cecil "Bill" Kelly

1944-2020

William Cecil "Bill" Kelly

Peacefully at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Saturday, April 4, 2020 of William C. "Billy" Kelly of Charlottetown, where he resided for the past 4 years, and formerly of Glace Bay, NS, age 75 years.

Dad grew up in Table Head, loved sports, had a passion for baseball, in his younger years he was a great baseball pitcher as we were told by many friends, a Maple Leafs fan and never missed watching a game. Then there was his love for horses, any spare time he would spend at friends’ horse barns or when it was in season he was at the race tracks with his kids by his side. His love for horses was one thing that brought Dad to P.E.I. Dad was a kind soul, would give you the shirt off his back if you were in need or his last dollar in his pocket.

Dear father of Cindy (Jimmy) Mamye, Kimberley (Richard) Hammel, Sherry (Wade) Kelly, Doreen Kelly and Danny (Christine) Kelly. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Bobby, Christopher, who was like his own son, Ashley, Kyle, Jimmy, our angel Brandon - deceased, Nakeesa, Scott, Logan, Ryan, Taylor and Sarah; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Mary (Archie-deceased) Gould, Terry (Gloria-deceased) Kelly, Hope-deceased (George) Stubbart, Jimmy Kelly and many nieces and nephews.

Rest Peacefully Dad. You’ll always be with us like a hand print on our hearts...
