Sister Clementina "Clemmie" McCarron (Sister St. Eileen)

Sister Clementina (Clemmie) McCarron, (Sister St. Eileen),CND died peacefully at Charlottetown on Monday, March 19, 2018 at the age of 92 years.

Besides her CND community , the following family members are left to mourn her loss; siblings Eileen Girard of Winnipeg, Agnes Richard, Toronto, Kevin (Adele) McCarron, Barry’s Bay, Sheila (Gerard) Mitchell, Charlottetown, sister-in-law Eileen (McGee) McCarron, many nieces and nephews as well as grand and great grand nieces and nephews.

Apart from her parents, James R. And Cecelia (Steele) McCarron of Sturgeon, PE, she is predeceased by her sisters Mary McGuigan, Sr. Theresa McCarron CND, Sr. Elizabeth McCarron CND, her brothers Leo, Donald and James McCarron, sisters-in-law Ann (Harvey) McCarron and Elizabeth (Burke) McCarron as well as by brothers-in-law, Theodore McGuigan, Emile Richard and Roger Girard.

Sister Clemmie taught 23 years in Tignish High School and 6 years in Souris High School. She was elected to community leadership for our CND houses in the Maritimes and some houses in Western and Northern Canada. During this period of 12 years, she lived in Pictou. She then took a two year sabbatical in Toronto. Due to ill health, she had to remain in Toronto.She later took courses in Human Development and received certification in teaching focusing, which she taught to individuals and groups. She returned to PEI in August, 2014.

Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home for visiting hours on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday from St. Dunstan’s Basilica at 10:00 a.m. Interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
