Major Thomas Ewart "Tom" Wallis

Peacefully with his family by his side at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, December 14, 2017 of Thomas Ewart "Tom" Wallis of Charlottetown age 93 years.

Tom is a veteran of World War II having served with the RAF and RCAF. He was known as "Mr. Soccer" for organizing soccer on PEI.

Born in Brentford, England he is the son of the late Ewart and Jessie (Lee) Wallis.

Beloved husband of the late Doris (nee Woodside) Wallis and dear father of Diane (Ivan) Callison , Bryan (Patricia) Wallis, Ian (Louise) Wallis and Cheryl (Glenn)Gaudet . He is also lovingly remembered by his ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren. Tom was also predeceased by his sister Jessie Neale and brother Eric Wallis.

Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 a..m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment in Breadalbane People’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 1:00 to 3:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
