Lloyd Samuel MacDougall

After weathering a courageous battle with cancer, Lloyd anchored from life’s gale with his daughter by his side and nurses guiding him once more past the blockhouse into port on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at the Palliative Care Unit in Charlottetown.

Throughout his 69 years, he remained firmly rooted in his Nine Mile Creek Community. He was a fisherman who loved the water and appreciated both its treachery and reward. He had a knack for all things mechanical and a skilled eye that will be missed by his sons and friends who relied on his phenomenal general knowledge.

Left to mourn are his daughter Anita (Jerry) McCabe, sons Rick (Stacey), Billy (Lenette) and Danny; former spouse Leitha; grandchildren, Coady, Bethany, Molly, Sam, Jake, Lexi and Cali MacDougall, Tamara Gauthier, Sean and Seamus McCabe, and his friend Scott Doyle. He is also survived by his half sister , Anita Young, nieces and nephews and many good friends. He was predeceased by his son Lloyd, brothers Billy and Jack, his sister Frances Doyle and half brothers Brent and Eddie.He was the son of the late Samuel and Mary (Gormley) MacDougall.

Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Argyle Shore Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours by personal request.
