Reginald Hubert Hughes
1944-2016
Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, September 29, 2016 of Reginald H. "Reggie" Hughes of Charlottetown and formerly from Fort Augustus, age 71 years. Beloved husband of Judy (nee Mitchell) Hughes and dear father of Laura Lee (Gary) MacKinnon and Renee (Jason) Richard. He is also survived by four loving grandchildren Kyle & Logan MacKinnon and Hannah & Emma Richard; brothers and sisters, Paul (Helen), Vince (Delores), Imelda (Willard-deceased) Squires, Margaret (John-deceased) Hughes, Shirley (Kenneth) Bradley, Helen (Sterling) Coffin, Mary (Earl) Affleck and Eileen (Pat) Curran; mother and father-in-law Agnes (Clarence-deceased) Mitchell; brothers and sisters-in-law Debbie (Vince) Dunn, Charmaine (Allan) McGuigan, Aletha (Bobby) Power, Robert (Bonnie) Mitchell and Michelle (Leo-deceased) McNally.
He was predeceased by his infant son Reginald Joseph; parents Charles A. and Loretta (nee Ostridge) Hughes; brothers Francis, Earl and infant brother, Donnie; sister, Aletha Hughes.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Monday morning, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
Visiting hours at the funeral home on Sunday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m.
