Peter Thomas Runighan

Peacefully with his family at his side at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Monday, May 2, 2016 of Peter Thomas Runighan of Charlottetown and formerly of Morell age 54 years.

Loving husband of Shelley (nee McDearmid). Beloved father of Sarah (Justin) MacDonald, Helen, Danny, Joni (Darrin O’Brien) MacKenzie, Al (Carol) MacKenzie, Jody MacKenzie, Adam Duncan and Sean (Sharon) Duncan. Son of the late Aeneas and Ivy (McCarville) Runighan. Brother of Susan (Dr. Frank) MacDonald, Kathy (Cletus) Phelan and Ellen (Kenny) Connolly. Son-in-law of Kenny and the late Josie (Chaisson) McDearmid. Poppy will be missed by numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Thursday morning, then transferred to St. Theresa the Little Flower Church, Morell for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Due to allergies please refrain from wearing scents and perfumes.
