Charles Fredrick Gauthier

1941-2016

Charles Fredrick Gauthier

"There are people whose remembrance gives light to the world, long after they have passed away"

As in life he was in death, surrounded by the family he loved so much and who adored him in return. Charles / Dad / Poppy, fought so very hard to stay with his family but it was not to be. In his own words, "too early to leave this world". Those who knew him best know that we have lost one of the most selfless, caring, kind hearted individuals to ever cross their paths. He believed in paying it forward and doing a good turn for someone every time he had the chance.

Charles was a plumber for over 55 years and for the last 30 years ran Gauthier’s Plumbing and Heating. He enjoyed his work and his customers right up until his passing.

Born on May 29th , 1941 he would have celebrated his 75th birthday next month and looked forward to doing so. Left to mourn his passing, the love of his life of 52 years, Sandra (nee Sherren) Gauthier, his children Lee (Beth), Tanya (Chris) Brown and Troy (Sheri). Loving Poppy of Justin Brown, Zachary Gauthier, Logan and Seth Gauthier. Lovingly remembered by siblings , Wilfred Gauthier (Kathy), Peggy Arthur, Sandra Knockwood (Joe), Darlene Eldershaw (Jimmy), sister and brothers-in-law Sylvia Peters, Gary Sherren, Barry Sherren, Clifford Sherren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Margaret (Byers) Gauthier, mother and father-in-law Arnold and Laura Sherren, siblings Shirley Gauthier, Dick Gauthier, Marjorie Gauthier, Carol Ross and Leo Gauthier in infancy.
