Mary Jean MacLeod Koughan (nee Thomas)

Peacefully with her family by her side at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, February 7, 2016 of Mary Jean MacLeod Koughan (nee Thomas) of Charlottetown and formerly of Kensington in her 78^th year.

Beloved wife of the late Donald MacLeod and the late Lorne Koughan. Dear mother of Shelley (William Dainard), Fern (Robert) Weatherby, Heather (Glenn) Tuplin and stepmother of

Lorna (dec) (Ronnie) Gallant, Barb (Charlie) Mackie, Marty Koughan, Frank (dec)(Anne) Koughan, Janet (Pat) Kelly and Larry Koughan (Kim Mooney). Loving Nanny to 23 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, and dear sister to Wilma (Andrew) Campbell. Mary will also be sadly missed by special friend Charlie Murphy. She was predeceased by her parents Frederick and Annie (Gamester) Thomas, brother Everett Thomas, and sisters Eileen Taylor and Evelyn Molyneaux.

Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Thursday, then transferred to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment later in Geddie Memorial Cemetery, Spring Brook. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Members of St. Pius X CWL will hold a prayer service at the funeral home on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.

Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Mary may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of P.E.I. or the Canadian Cancer Society. On-line condolences may be made at www.islandowned.ca.
